@painpainpain I believe that the "pauses" are caused by the fact that the computer is too slow, I've got the same effect. The stripes also may be caused by this fact. Im sure they appear only in 1080i movies? You can convert the movies to 720p using the software attached and it'll run smothly.

There are some really dense people on this page who want to learn how to operate a camcorder, but cant figure out how to operate memory card!
The memory card, like pretty much any other type of portable enclosed memory media including floppy disks, has a little slider on the side.
Slide it one way, and the card can be written to. Slide it the other way, and the card cannot be written to.
This is basic elementary portable memory media stuff really....

I upgraded firmware. It's still the same - pure quality and when i playback video on my computer picture pauses but sound is continious, also when there's moving in the video the image appears like stripes... Is it the camcorder, memory card or my computer? I tried playback videos in most of the video players, but it's all the same shit. Help!

i bought the cam in germany and the german samsung site does not have any upgrade option. i got it from the us site. so, do i need to upgrade if i got the cam outside the us?? and what does the upgrade do to the cam? thanks for replying!

How do I remove the write protection? The card itself hasn't been protected, only by the camcorder.

Disable write protection on the card first, then
Insert card in pc card reader.
copy over files.
insert into camcorder
follow instructions above
