  • Q: Why do so many instructors espouse the notion to "paint what you see" when it is impossible to do so. What am I missing here?

    Q: If the light defines the subject, and the light changes every twenty minutes then are you not painting a different subject at the end of that twenty minutes? Why stand outside painting a subject that has gone an hour ago?

    Q: Carlson says: "Let us create a pattern of differing values", does he mean contiguous or broken? And does it matter?
