The first xbox has the talismoon whisper max fans than can be switched to Default speed or 12 volts and we also installed the xcm core cooler fans that run at 5 volts.(xenon chipset, Hitachi drive)

The second xbox is first showed with the stock fans switched down to 5 volts (overheated) and the at 12 volts (sounds like a jet engine) I also installed a extra 5 volt fan that i had in my old xbox fan stand thingy from gamestop that has a on and off switch with a blude led indicator light. The fan shroud mod was also applied with a fruit loops box. XD
(Falcon chipset, Benq drive)

  • IN CAse you dont know the back fans pull the air out of the xbox not blow air in, so essentially by covering the gps heat sink like that with cardboard your doing more harm than good. THe air being pulled in through the sides cant hit the heat sink if its all wrapped up like that.

  • @kaylamollyrulz978 xbox 360 doesnt have a gps .....oh yeh and you have no idea what you are talking about

  • @descriipted by the way i wont rethink any of the mods i have done since all the systems are still running but im sure we would all be glad to see any mods you have done

  • @descriipted the talismoon fans arent in mine thats a friends console....and the noise doesnt bother us since we both are like 20ft from the console and tv...but i see how it could be annoying in a tiny place

  • Way too loud, I`ve modded mine by putting the dvd drive outside in an HDDVD enclosure and mounted a 120mm quiet fan in it`s place, silent and cool running. Doesn`t sound like a jet taking off.

  • @kennyp987 1 thats a typo...2 hes right...if YOU DIDNT KNOW i will tell you...that "mod" was not needed your dvd drive covers the GPU heatsink and makes that seal to pull air through...and not to mention the xbox360 top case shell dose the same for the CPU heat sink...id highly recomend you take that tape shit out befor a fire starts..and dude wth are you doing that? theres no point if you already have a 12vmodded fan and a 3rd on the side...you already safe from the rrod.

  • @kennyp987 obviously he meant gfx heatsink, which would make sense. less room for air to be pulled into the exhaust fan. It's you who has no idea what you're talking about.

  • @sloppy9649 i think aluminum works better though because it is more pliable than copper. But good call on the copper.

  • @proaudiomaniac

If you have copper foil use that instead because it conducts heat better.

  • @kennyp987 actually you have no idea what you're doing. The guy meant GPU heatsink. Also you're supposed to use aluminum foil and not cardboard as cardboard insulates heat. Aluminum foil can both release heat and create the fan shroud mod at the same time. Also what he meant about the sides is the tunnel indentions on the CPU heatsink that lookes like this >___< those indentions are designed to pull air throughput but you are blocking them like an idiot. 12v fan mod = cheaper, quieter, cooler.

  • no offense to talislsi fans but what the fuck is a taliso
