Actually, it IS "le hautbois" ==> quote from Wiki :"Terme générique, LE hautbois est un instrument de musique à vent de la famille des bois, de perce conique et dont le son est créé par la vibration d'une anche double au passage du souffle."

@fappyyplox Completely aware of that but didn't want to spend lots of time searching the proof that I speak my native language properly. But I finally took a look at the Larousse Encyclopedia and am still right on this question.
