Patea stands up to WINZ and finds out that WINZ may owe you money!

Patea residents stood up to WINZ about lack of privacy for clients, and illegal stand downs. We won on the illegal stand down still waiting for our office in Patea, however in the process we discovered a handy little form that WINZ will have in your file if you have ever applied to collect unemployment insurance AKA the dole. In the case we investigated WINZ illegally held back 3 days of unemployment insurance payments. The form they use is sent out to your former employer; they fill it in innocently thinking that they are doing the correct thing, in fact ACC payments and sick pay are other forms of insurance payouts that you have already paid the premiums on through PAYE. They are not regarded as cashed out payments for the purposes of short paying your unemployment insurance. Watch the video and then get down to your WINZ office especially if you are a seasonal worker they may owe you a lot of money !!
