I think I get what your going for , however there are pieces out there like Mahler 3, that have huge trombone solos in the mid and low range. Mahler is riddled with b naturals, low e naturals, low fs, and middle cs.
The CD is Yoshimatsu, Symphony number 4/ Trombone Concerto/Orion Machine. It's on the Chandos label and the excerpt of Bolero crops up on one of the tracks. can't remember which one though. The CD is of Bousfield with BBC Phil conducted by Sachio Fujioka.
I play a Bousfield-designed Yamaha trombone.

He now plays a Yamaha, with a F attachment. He sounds even more incredible live.

He played that excerpt from the trombone solo WALK WITH ME by Ray Steadman-Allen so beautifully! I wish to hear the full song.
