Being a septic contractor...I would NEVER reccommend that anyone drive on the drainfield! That's a good way to collapse it. What state was this in?

@Datenschleuder I never cease to be amazed at the depth of ignorance of some people. Have you ever done any research on properly designed septic systems? If you feel that this system is inferior, then how come on your channel we don't see videos about an alternative waste-disposal system?

excel demo. wish i could have convinced the city council and epa of the leech concept when they approved a subdivison sitting on a granite exposed, and substraight shelf. now,,, down stream and the home owners themselves understand what the after effects are. greed runs deep. thanks for posting.
take care

@hitachi088 The system was inspected and passed by a NH state septic inspector before it was covered.
Great to see you've kicked up septic sceptics......nice touch, using the run off beds as car parking unit some bright lad comes home in his battle tank.......but you can't design for everything !
Just to confound the sceptics, why not do a follow up with with the customer 3 or 5 years later, so people (us) can see how the work has bedded in.
Do I know anything about septic tanks & soak aways, watched my parents get one built, the operator of the JCB (back hoe) almost lost it in the hole !

@magna59 Great idea to follow up. Trouble is, you and I have NO CONTROL over how the septic system is used and what traffic goes over the road. The concrete structures in this video were designed to have the same weight on them as ordinary road traffic. This means a truck with the proper axle spacing and wheels that has 80,000 pound GVW can pass over without cracking the concrete pads.

I live in Los Angeles and have never seen (or used) a septic system. Am I missing out on something??

@ManOfMeans Indeed you are. I'll bet there are thousands of septic systems up in the hills around LA. Think of any house that's too far off a roadway or in a somewhat remote area where there are no municipal sewers.
