A bunch of really awesome dudes hitting each other with duct tape sticks and telling each other to "assis" (sit down) when they've been hit. Parc du Mont Royal, Montréal, Sept. 17, 2006
@siriondb Thanks for info, tho I received it a days late. Bcause of a drunken night n morning, we arrrived at 4pm, and saw only a dozen people playing. We were laughed at, Haha, the last people we expected to be laughed at by were the people LARPing in the park already, Hahaha. We went to another clearing in the park and had a good time fighting and taking photos, though we all agreed it would have been great to arrive earlier and see the whole battle, and not just some tough guy nerds. Hi, the event is an event organized by the players. There are no instances that regulate the players or the field. It's all based on fairplay. Bring your weapons but make sure that they are not harmful(not feeling the rod, etc). Also, it's touch based. Anyway, if you need more info, people will brief you over there.
@siriondb Hi, my friends and I are coming to Montreal this weekend for a weekend bachelor party. We would like to join in on the Larp at Mont Royal on Sunday. Anything we should know? Is this event well organized now?
I fight on the Mount-Royal and I consider it to be my playground. It is semi organised, we have two MAIN game modes which is classic versus and CTF. Allowing the use of magic would be ridiculous as the size of the field isnt large enough and magic involves a different gameplay that brings ALOT of confusion. The Mount-Royal is a contest of skill, only the most skilled can manage to get a good KD ratio and actually do good strategically.
Fags...if im in Montreal I'm meeting carol cox

We need to organize something more proper that this... though maybe not right now since it's kinds too colt to LARP on mount-royal right now.
But yea, set teams, get it organized, set rules, and adopt a lot of stuff from the European LARPers with the rules to use magic attacks and stuff.
