As an outsider to this issue what I see is one side trying to make itself feel safe from attacks. Sure it ruins the landscape, but I can only imagine the dire situation that prompted the Israeli government into such an extreme expression of protectionism. Whether or not this is racist I cannot say. It would have been helpful if the video was subtitled in English since the woman on camera posing her views also spoke in English.
