Nov. 17, 2010 - Congressman Ron Paul (TX-14) introduces the American Traveler Dignity Act in response to regulatory measures taken by the TSA to implement potentially dangerous X-Ray screening procedures or invasive "pat-downs" by TSA officials. Campaign for Liberty has released a written statement opposing this regulatory overreach by the TSA.

  • This guy will be our 45th President in 2012! He will get rid of the TSA!

  • Applicable to a wide range of topics. Words of wisdom from Ron Paul:

If this doesn’t change, I see what has happened to the American people as we have accepted the notion that we should be treated like cattle. “Make us safe, make us secure, put us into barbed wire, feed us, fatten us up”, and then they’ll eat us. And we’re a bunch of cattle if we have to wait and say, “We’ve had it”.

  • The TSA gives us an illusion of being safe. You're not really safer. In fact, the TSA did more harm. My first time dealing with them was in 2006 and I've treated them as a joke that they are ever since. The sad part is that they continue to evolve and expand to bus stops, highways and random checkpoints. They'll continue to expand as long as we're willing to give up our rights and put up with it.

  • @chrismc89 The TSA has not stopped one terrorist threat in 10 years, when they are randomly tested to screen "fake" explosives... they fail 60% of the time. Ron Paul says a good lock on the pilot's door keeps it safer because the plane can't be hijacked and used as a missile... I know your probably naive and want the world to be 100% safe and fare and think the government can do that, but it can't... and we give up way too many liberties in the process.

  • FYI...The people of Texas and the Texas legislature unanimously voted to pass a bill that would outlaw the new TSA invasive pat downs.

However, Governor Rick Perry along with just 2 or 3 other Texas government officials killed the bill. Basically, thanks to Rick Perry, the TSA gets a free pass to continue to harass you at Texas airports.

  • @chrismc89 then email ron and let him know, since you're such an expert about planes.

  • @789Seven789 Gun in a lockbox? And who exactly would have that? This isn't the movie Air Force One; if you shoot in a gun in the air and it pierces the plane it's going down. It's beyond retarded.

  • @chrismc89 gun in a lockbox. are you really that biased you didnt hear him say it twice?

  • lol Ron Paul walks away like a badass. I'm new to HoR hearings and I've only watched a few from Ron Paul. He usually says "I yield back," which I read means that if you have time remaining, you can let somebody else talk about the issue. He didn't say it here, perhaps because he used up all his time, or because he was wicked furious! :)

  • ... Great, but he doesn't say what he would do instead. Just take the pat-downs and x-rays away, so... how would we remain safe, Ron Paul?

  • @aaronmoravek 9/11 was an inside job, 9/11 created terrorist, terrorist created TSA.

  • It was one terrorist out of all of humanity that created the TSA, can you say over reacting
