  • Great lecture. Ali is a true voice of wisdom. Come on world! The time has come for Revolution! Damn the downers, we need Robespierres and Trotskies modeled for our own times! Throw in a modern Bakunin as well!

  • If Chavez is a dictator, I would rather live under a benvelong dictator than in a convoluted, exploitive, military/corporate empire(USA) that makes life "safe" for the fortune 500/ makes life miserable for common people here and abroad. The fact is any media channels that aided a coup, Chavez and the government closed, would have been so in the USA too. In europe parliments there are no term limits for prime minister. Chavez's party merely wants the same and holds public referendums for it.

  • @emotionalinvalid I don't think Chavez jailed any of those media moguls that aided and abetted in the failed circa 2002 coup on Chavez that rightly failed. In the US if that would have happened those conspirators would have been tortured and some would have been put to death or put in prison for life. You tell me who has a more forgiving and humane government Chavez or Bush/Obama? Hands down its Chavez's government that is more humane and has reconciliation. USA now a fascist state.

  • all our representatives have already signed contracts with the 1% to get millions for campaigns and vote for the 1% and their lobbyists. if any of them takes money from the left or muslim americans, some scandal will be cooked up by the corporate media and they'll be kicked out of office. or if that fails they'll be assassinated in a subtle way like a car accident, heart attack, etc by the "spooks"(i.e. brit term for spys, e.g. cia, fba, nsa, mi6, etc)

  • @emotionalinvalid furthermore, any media network or anyone who participated in a coup against a US president would have been tried, convicted and some probably executed. And regarding state execution by lethal injection its much more inhumane than being put in front of a firing squad. But there is no lesser evil regarding state sanctioned murder because "another wrong does not make a right". An eye for an eye(Jesus said no to that old testament rule) is always another wrong

  • Legend has it that the one of the r stone's early songs "street fighting man" was a song about Tariq Ali in his youthful street protest days. Like Parenti, he's the "real deal":extremely intelligent and right on the streets(at least when it's easier to survive, that is when young) with the common people he correctly defends, militantly protesting. It is a mistake to disregard Parenti because he speaks in a common way with style and grammar errors. But P's writing is impeccable like Ali's.

  • The post ww2 US empire was meddling in the middle east before bush 1. But Bush 1's first Iraq war sowed the seeds for 911. Leaving US bases a stone's throw from Mecca and buying off other M east corrupt muslim kings to leave other US military installations, the failed blowback of 93' and the the "successful" one on 911 were inevitable. How to make future USA free from terrorism? answer:dismantle all US military/industrial complex installations throughout the m east and the world.

  • @emotionalinvalid in fact, any coup de tat in the USA would have led to any right wing, left wing, or media outlets to be tried for treason, etc and put to death in the USA. None of that happened to the coup perps in Venezuela in 2002. Most are free or served short jail sentences. And that coup was proven, that Venezuela's exploitive elite, backed by US government, indeed tried to overthrow Chavez. God bless South American socialism. congrats Argentina for re electing Christina Fernandez.

  • @AndrewMann552 agree except for Robespierre as the model revolutionary. Most of those losing their heads in the French revolution were common people. Danton is my choice. He started out as a "focused" extreme revolutionary, to realizing that the revolution got out of hand like Stalin and Mao's "leadership". Danton lost his head, but eventually so did Robespierre by his creation of topsy turvy "committee for public safety". And the result was dictator/imperialist Napoleon. humanity 1st.

  • @AndrewMann552 we need to stop talking about what we need and organizing. its really the only way. even if you want to rise against those who control the structure and security of our system, and dispose of them like i presume at least half of the overwhelming 4 and a half thousand viewers of this video would. Yea. Good Luck With That. It is not like ppl are waiting for someone to come tell them what to do. I am 25 and anyone from age 18 to 30 has been like almost programmed to ignore you and
