  • hey great job! i am thinking about doing that same solo but kinda need to know before buying it off line what the higest note is could you tell me?

  • h2 is the highest note, but no problem for you ;-)

  • 2. Note endings. They aren't bad, but you cut off your ends of notes sometimes. Work on tapering, and don't drop your trumpet the instant you have a break.

    3. Tempo. I liked what you did with the accel. in the andante, but I would have liked it to slow down earlier than you did - let the music relax when the line starts descending.

    4. End of the Andante. You can rit. more here and draw the ending out. I would probably play that softer.

These are just comments. Overall, good work!

  • Thank you very much, everything can help me!

  • ah man, i have to play this to try out for state honors band and i still got a bit of work to do. I still have some trouble with the triple toungeing. Any tips?

  • Where do you want to use triple tongueing? I use only double toungeing at Allegro part..

  • Great job, I like that I can at least hear the piece that I am going to play, I really need help on tonging the notes faster, any advise?

  • playing this for college juries for my freshman year. great tone. but yes dynamics are a must. you seem to play at a mf to f all through the andante section which is just a tad unmusical.

  • This is such a fun piece to play.

  • don't wanna sound like I'm criticizing too much cuz I couldnt play it better... but work on dynamics

  • I'm thirteen an playing this for my solo and ensemble on trumpet... I was just given it yesterday

  • Awesome I have to play this tmrw I'm 15 and fucked

  • I think you completely left out the dynamics.

  • sounded good, but sorry i felt no emotion and like there was zero dynamic contrast at all! Also a lot of the tempos seemed off.

  • @klodklodklodie he's talking about Amsterdam Avenue, my teacher taught me the same. It's how you count the triplet part. so you go Amsterdam avenue avenue Amsterdam avenue avenue... I personally didn't see a problem witht that section but I'm just helping clarify what he means

  • Amazing :)

I play Baritone TC, and I am playing this for my solo and ensemble!!!!!! :D
