So, I know that Nami probably isn't quite so depressed as I make her out to be, especially as her more prominent Forget-Me-Not Valley incarnation in Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, but her limited appearances in Magical Melody tend to give her a reclusive, lonely sort of feel. This is a poem I wrote a long time ago from Nami's point of view, most influenced by her introductory cutscene at the summertime Beach Festival in which she doesn't even think you'd care to know her name. *sob* So sad...
Oh, and it's also technically inaccurate because she DOES basically control the weather and she HAS pretty much achieved perfection in prediction - but that's okay. Oh, except I think I remember this one day on my anniversary when it was supposed to blizzard, and I was freaked out that the celebration cutscene couldn't be triggered, and it turned out to be sunny the next day, allowing it to happen... Which was a good thing, but it means that the weather report had an error. So maybe Nami IS only human(ish) after all. =D Anyway, onto the poem!
Original Text:
[*Actually, it's not the TOTAL original, heh-heh. The word "fine" used to be "great"... and the first line used to be "I travel... Flow'r Bud's the best place anywhere" but it kind of killed the 11-syllable pattern, and I wanted it to sound as flowing as possible. I had fun putting together that and the rhyme scheme and all, so I hope you enjoy!]
I travel, but here's the best place anywhere.
For one season each year, I roam the town square,
When the sun shines bright, and the weather is fair.
You'd think, being "Weathergirl, " why would I care?
These village people all rely on my word,
But I can't always guess what nature's conjured.
Perfection in prediction? No, that's absurd.
I listen to instincts, and tell what I heard.
When it's sunny, fine, for I said it would be...
But if the rain falls, all the fault is on me.
I don't control weather - on the contrary:
I know nothing of it, just struggle to see.
My forecast is lonely, for all are the same...
Typhoons strike, and Weathergirl's stuck with the blame.
A life broadcasting implies a life of fame,
But all know my face while so few know my name.
Oh, yeah! And the background music here is the tune that plays while in the Moonlight Café, also from the scene when the café first opens. XXxdeidaraxX asked me (forever ago) if I could make a video using this music in the background because it was so pretty. This poem would have sounded a little too bland without any music at all, and I thought the café tune kind of fit the reflective tone here, so I hope this fulfills that request!

It's called the Cool TV: you can win it from the 6-8 heart rank of the semiannual Horse Races. I have four recent videos showcasing all the channels viewed from that huge TV. =D
