Residents in Marimanti are bearing the brunt of rising food prices. Tharaka Constituency is semi-arid and most of the foodstuff comes from Meru. But now a recent drought has pushed the prices of basic food items beyond the reach of many residents. NTV's John-Allan Namu reports from Marimanti.
There is a real danger that Africa stands to suffer the most from changes in global climate, otherwise being referred to as Global Warming. An overdependence on agriculture, rapid population growth and inept governments will likely lead to political instability and turmoil if we don't make radical changes to how we do things.
