There was a time when the entire area was being threatened with demolition. The local council wanted to destroy all the houses because they were all built prior to the first world war and weren't up to modern housing standards. The houses are smaller than modern houses, packed together more closely and there is inadequate parking. The plan was shelved, thankfully, but I fully expect that it will be dusted off at some point. Politicians have a nasty habit of bringing back the same bad ideas

I bought all the episodes (including the pilot and Christmas short). I wish they'd bring comedies like this back. It's all Simon Cowell and stuff on ice these days.
