This guy is fishing the Tongariro in New Zealand - a fly with a 5mm tungsten bead with a double wrapped body of lead is still considered not heavy enough here, he is doing well not to have to duck on his foward cast!!

I agree...the key is speed...not power. A flyrod should be handled with meekness, that is, power under control.

I fish and this was not an example of good technique. He was pumping iron and not using the rod efficiently.

When did everyone become professional fly fishermen? I bet he still catches fish. Who cares if the technique isn't perfect I bet your isnt either.
