To correct your use of grammar, I think you refer to something as being the effect, when you describe what is happening - for example when two cards change place, it's a transposition effect - the way you apply this however, with handling, use of patter, etc, make's it into a routine, wich you can then name - for example "Shades of Hofzinser" is the Routine - and the Effect in that routine is a Transformation. - NOT HATING ON YOU AT ALL BY THE WAY!!! Loving the magic ;)
