10:04 pm turned out for a candlelight vigil to honor a td's show club bouncer who was gunned down on the job. heather mills was at the vigil. and is live in the newsroom with what people are saying. heather. joseph threadgill was pronounced dead this morning after being shot multiple times by a customer -- who was allegedly bounced from the club for bad behavior. family members tell me "big joe" as they liked to call him .. was just a big teddy bear. hundreds of family and friends

10:05 pm of joseph threadgill came to remember the man they call "a gentle giant".. and to say goodbye.. the 23 year old made his mark on bernalillo.. everyone had a story to share.. "i wanted him to play football so bad because he was such a big kid, but to get him to be mean, it was impossible." there was laughter.. tears.. and plenty of hugs. "well, now i know it's raining and thundering and i'm prety sure that's his way of telling us thank you. he's looking down on us now." ace wynn was a classmate of threadgills.. he helped put the vigil together. he says joe was always there for anyone who needed him. "there's too much hatred in the world as it is, right now and we don't want to hate." threadgill had worked as a bouncer at t-d's for just three months. the man accused of shooting and killing joseph threadgill made his first appearance in court shooting and killing joseph threadgill made his first appearance in court today. police arrested 40- year-old thomas hancock at his rio rancho home yesterday. they were able to track him down because t-d's records the license information on its patrons when checking to make sure they're old enough to be at the bar. hancock's mother says he came home yesterday morning in quote "some sort of distress and he appeared intoxicated." he's being held on a 30-thousand dollar cash only bond.

  • I didn't know him, nor have I ever been to Albuquerque but from the world - wide community of bouncers, wheather Big Joe is in heaven or hell, keep gaurding the gates my brother. R.I.P.
