9th's ultra-compressed, bass-heavy sound was emulated from Nottz' late-90s work. Nottz was ahead of his time on those Busta Rhymes albums.

@BlackImpalaRugebregt Of course he did. He's not going to put down one of his contemporaries and friends by saying "I'm better." Look; Nottz is dope, but 9th is right there with Pete Rock and DJ Premier when discussing the best producers of all-time. As good as Nottz is, he isn't on that level. Sorry, but 9th is the superior producer.
