Monday, 9th of July, saw what is thought to be the largest energy efficient
dome in the Southern hemisphere being placed on the circular auditorium of
the new Bahá'í Center of Learning in Hobart Tasmania. The dome, which is 18
meters across and rises 4 and a half meters above the dolerite clad walls,
is supported by a frame of Australian softwood with no old-growth timber,
and uses super-efficient Nanogel translucent insulation in its unique
skylights.
Very beautiful. The Bahá'í Center is truly a beautiful place to be.

A beautiful building indeed! God willing, such bold thinking in conservation, architecture, and aesthetics will inspire the world to follow in its example.

Thanks to all those involved in making this video available on this website--and so quickly after the event.....helped to make you feel as if you were right there. It's a wonderful start to this educational institution, this Baha'i Centre of Learning for Tasmania. With appreciation. -The George Town Baha'i Group, Ron Price, Publicity Officer.
