WF's Highlights from the 2009 Chicago Ghost Conference

The "Who Forted?" Collective visits the 2009 Chicago Ghost Conference to mingle with the guests and get their opinions on the state of the paranormal field. This highlight reel includes interviews with ScottL of Ghostly Talk Radio, Michigan MUFON Head Bill Konkolesky, Tony Hart-Wilden of ChasingMidnight.com, Jason Korbus and Bobby Nelson of Strange Frequencies Radio and Phase 3 Paranormal, author and radio show host Joshua P. Warren, "Ghost Box" Researcher Jeff Rezman, and appearances by Paranormal State's Lorraine Warren, A&E's Paranormal Cops, and more!

There's also a hilarious attempt by Darkness Radio's Dave Schrader and the convention management to keep the guests from talking with "Who Forted?", but it backfires when the guests openly explain the situation... in the interviews that they all-too-happily gave us.

I thought this video was awesome~!! I'm among the many people that heard that the presense of the Who Forted Crew was one of the highlights of the event.

I guess im not sure why people are complaining about them? it doesnt look like they put words in anyones mouth to me!

The only logical reason to be upset with us is that we are all so extremely attractive that our presence at this event ended up setting the bar for sexiness so high that no one in attendance had any hope of reaching it.

That, or the fact that we're honest.

This conference sucked, regardless of what the numerous fake accounts are telling you. Check the dates registered of each account that is telling you how great the conference was. It's obviously Ursula or her CGC goons trying to bash this video down from the top of the list.

Here's a tip: If you don't want people talking about what a horrible conference you put on, don't put on horrible conferences. Contribute to the community intelligently and don't book bullshit speakers like Dave Schrader.

I regret anything I said on that interview... It was the result of beer and a lack of sleep. The people who ran the conference were very nice, and the guests, while I may not agree with them were personable. They didnt deserve my negative comments or abuse.

There was certainly a lot more editorializing by WF contributors than testimony from your average attendee. I like how the angle you're going for is a statement saying that the paranormal society is impure - full of amateurs running around with cameras. However, that's what this video is - glory hounds looking to feel superior as opposed to engaging in actual discussion. & yes, I assume this will be removed a la Bill O'Reilly cutting a guests mic.

Maybe next year I will do interview and so an actual interpretation of this conference can be posted.
