Weirdly enough, the scene where she peels all her skin off to reveal the muscles underneath didn't faze me at all. And this is coming from a guy with severe haemophobia, too.

@XtRedChaos yes she is a girl thinking she is fat and the rest of the world around her are really rather skinny down to bones :-/ so she gets a razor blade(cuz every girl has one :-/) and makes her self skinny by peeling her self but its actually really life :-)
