Food crisis on the own words of various players over the last 10 days ranging from Ban Ki-Moon of UN, Abdolreza Abbassian of UN FAO, Robert Zoellick of World Bank to Dominique Strauss-Kahn IMF. The current price of animal protein is traded below the production cost at an unsustainable rate. Economic fallout & agricultural investment opportunities, agricultural land a lagging asset class? Agricultural equipment makers are to become attractive too.

  • The guy who says that the only way of rationing land is "by price" is not correct. The best way to ration land for all purposes is for sovereign governments to impose land value taxes based on correct and current assessed values. When and where this is done land that is held out of production or in conditions of under production in every country for the purpose of driving up the value for purposes of land speculation is forced back into production. All the rest is irresponsible distraction.

  • let the governments of other countries fight for them selves

  • total bullshit!
