"Get Me Through December" is one of my favorite songs from Alison Krauss' album, "A Hundred Miles or More". The whole album is beautiful and heartfelt; there are many folk songs and story songs. It's quite touching and really easy to listen to from beginning to end. This song stood out to me as a favorite, however, because of its message. I interpreted this song as a message of hope - no matter what a person has been through or has endured, there's always a new year, a new season, a new day to start again. I hope you enjoy my rendition of this tune. Thanks for watching my videos and for passing them on to friends and family. This is only possible for me because of you and your support!

  • Before reading my comment, realize I am a professional musician. When I saw someone was covering this tune, I expected a butcher. Its an amazingly difficult tune, which would be hard to emulate. You do a phenomenal job capturing the song and adding your own interpretation. Keep up the great work. If you find yourself in Sweden or North Carolina... send me an e-mail, I'd love to play a few tunes with you... (ie. where i play).

  • @nlosborn It's always wonderful to hear encouraging comments from musicians - people who listen closely and critique! I so appreciate you taking the time to listen and enjoy the video, and further to tell me that you were pleased! I'm Swedish by descent, so I'll certainly go there someday! When I make it to North Carolina I'll hope to see you there, too!

  • Awesome job. Great harmony, pcikin', and singing. Alison would be proud.

  • Thank you! I want so badly to meet her someday. I don't usually get all crazy over celebrities, but she's so amazing. Sounds crazy maybe, but I want to sing a duet with her before I die. :)

  • Hi Ladies,

I always like to take a little trip back in time when beginning a new YT friendship so that I may be able to gauge any improvement over time. If this is what I encounter on this cover, then what's in store for me latter? How can it possibly get any better than this? These questions will have to be answered be me. Such great harmonizing and depth of feeling! Your voices meld together to form a high quality of beautiful melodies, and the way you brought it all to an end, wow.

  • yah ees gud

  • Very Nice !!! You sound so good! This song was written by Gordie Sampson from Cape Breton,Nova Scotia,Canada. The tune that the song is based on is an old scottish lament called "Neil Gows lament for the death of his second wife" Gordie also wrote the song Jesus take the wheel by Carrie Undewood and won a grammy award for that song.

  • These ladies are beautifull. Beautifull face and beautifull voice
