Six of Rio de Janeiro's top-tier samba schools filled the city's Sambadrome on Monday, for the final day of carnival parades. Each parade lasts up to 80 minutes and includes eight floats and thousands of performers. (Feb. 24)
Above we see revelers from Sao Paulo coming to check out Rio Street Party. This group of girls invented their fictional marching band, and gave out VIP passes to joke with locals. Great fun and very nice they were.!
@ElementhalAlegria ahhaha I am Brazilian and I live in England , all those 33 years living in Brazil I was very happy there , the thing is not like you saying xd .
Here in England I dont have good 365 days . Maybe you are watching to mutch TV and thinking that the first world country everyone live happy , poor people in Brazil lives mutch happy than people here in England and others rich country . No make sense what you say.
@dsbaptista I agree with you!! We are not McDonnalds, Mickey Mouse society...lets put things in perspective and not be radical both sides...Both countries have their cultures...and carnival is one of Brazil´s!
So, from your point of view, we have to abandon our cultural traditions, such as Carnival, because they cannot solve all the problems of the country?
Nonsense. In other words, you are basicly saying that only rich and developed nations are allowed to celebrate their traditions. And besides, Carnival is NOT only about revelry: political satire and social criticism are often essencial parts of the parades in Rio.
