Scenes from a Bookstore discusses different censorship issues booksellers can face. Filmed in a real, independent bookstore, the film shows first a "wrong" way to deal with different situations, followed by an example of a model response. Issues addressed include protecting customer records, addressing parental concerns about controversial material, and responding to accusations about the political offerings of books sold in the store.

Bookstores should do away with their "sign up for savings" policy - it's bad customer service. Membership is for country clubs - not to get a discount on books.
