This new 100% Bubinga snare drum features 24-plies of Bubinga goodness. The dense, 20mm Bubinga shell produces a thunderous sound with plenty of top end - and a surprisingly deep low end.
Dixon Drums product manager Jim Stanek does a little drum solo work here and talks about this behemoth's finer points. He adjusts the drum tuning to show how the high and lows cut through with this beast.
This is part of a series of videos Dixon has recorded at Innerspace Sound labs.
In a review by Modern Drummer they say "The drum has a wide tuning range where lows, mids and highs were always clearly present, resulting in a full sound with plenty of power and projection".
