This is a video that Mike Deodato ( my husband ) did in his studio in Brazil to be exhibited at the annual Glass House Graphics comics seminar in Phillipines. His English is terrible and so his jokes but his fans might think it interesting.:)
Mike, you're a legend. Thanks for making comics so enjoyable. I'm looking forward to getting your Thunderbolts graphic novel next, having been so blown away by your Dark Avengers work.
DESDE ARGENTINA DIGO UNA VEZ MAS KE ESELMEJOR DIBUJANTE MUCHO MEJO KE JOHN ROMITA JR. COMO DICEN Y LO AGRANDAN. AUNKE TENGOMUCHOS COMICS DE EL NO SELOPUEDE KOMPARAR KON DEODATO.
@FabulousZero 3rd andlastly his house is nice but its also in brazil architecture is better there on a visual level
and dont compar american comics to anime those artist draw as much as they do becuase its more repetitive and simplistic....especially compared to mike deodato jr no comparison
@FabulousZero 1st weather you think its expensive or not 2.99 is a lot for a comic book stop whining and its the publishing company that makes the price nothing to do with the artist since the creator of the comic pays the artist
2nd if they are breaking from comics that usualy means theyre putting together a sketch book to sell or other commissions and most artist if they do a run on a title and get dropped they are usually automaticaly on a different title the next month
@ThrashinWithDavey and the way these guys work, i.e. "five issues, now I'l take a break for a year". They don't deserve shit. Now compare that to japanese artists who draw every damn week. They deserve to make money.
@FabulousZero what artists charge has nothing to do with the price of comics its the price of paper and paper tax that increases all things that require paper books, magazine, and comic books
and they deserve every penny they make its an extremely chalenging and competitive industry
