  • I wanna inform you, David Lynch has found over 50 minutes worth of lost footage, and next month a BluRay release of Blue Velvet is being released in the united states with all of these scenes put back into the movie

  • @snakevillefilms I would love to see that. Although I feel this sequence works in a different way, because of the missing scenes!

    Thanks for tip.

  • Thanks for posting this. I would very much like to see these scenes. Perhaps one day David Lynch will release them.

  • This one's from the DVD special features. If I remember correctly, they lost all the footage somehow, and this sequence was reproduced later.

  • Can you upload the others from the DVD?

  • i don't have the dvd anymore.. cut this out when i rented it last.

  • I read David Lynch was legally bound to produce a 2 hour film so he cut an hour from the initial 3 hours. Some are probably not required but the one seen here and another where she finds her husbands other ear I imagine would be well worth seeing.

  • @snakevillefilms You heard otherwise? Pray tell. Watch the blu-ray and read Chris Rodley's interview with Lynch and find out for yourself. Cheers.

  • @Trademarc1977 i have heard otherwise...

  • @snakevillefilms He didn't put the scenes back in; many of these scenes were cut for a reason ("kill your darlings") . The deleted scenes are offered as an extra.

  • I wonder how much of the lost footage from "Blue Velvet" actually related to the plot. I read through part of the script online and there were a lot of scenes that weren't used, including a much more creepy introduction for Jeffrey, but that's not that uncommon. I wonder if there was a scene that explained how Frank and 'the well dressed man' were the same person, because that part seemed kind of jarring to me.
