Adam Harishon and chava were enjoying spritual growth with no interfence. However, After the sin Chava was cursed in numourous aspects. the following was one of the curses:בראשית פרק ג-טז you should have craving for your husband and he shall rule over you. See what רמבן says about this פסוק. ofcourse the does not mean the husband whould be a tyrant at home. Once you read the רמבן you would understand the meaning of this פםוק

I don't thik I have much to say. Yes, indeed apart than the first chapter of Breshit in which men and women are born equal, all the rest of Breshit shows men ruling over women. As a woman I prefer thinking about the first chapter and not all the rest..........

  • A person could have a very lofty Neshama and by being conquered by his evil Inclination he could horrible crimes as it indicated in book of Judges(שופטים

A person has a בחירה and could go in a right path or wrong path. As I mentioned earliler I have not questioned women's intellegence. As I could sense strongly that you are very Intellegent lady. However, Men in general could make a long term decisions for the familly. This שבת is פרשת בראשית please go over the entire parasha rashi/Mikraot gedo

I read the מקראה גדולה and looked fot the explanation to בראשית א' פסוקים כז' כח'.

both רמב"ן and אור חיים explain that Hashem told both men and women that they have to conrfol the land with its animal and birds. On.y רש"י sais that Hashem told men to control wemen. Why does he give such an explanation which doesen't come up from the text at all? why does he need to bend the words to a meaning that wasen't there at all?

  • @eliyahu09

after reading the Mikraa gdola of Breshit Alef 28, I saw that while both Ramban and Or hatora agree that Hashem told both man and woman to conquer the land, Rashi explains that the meaning is that man will conquer the woman.

Now, why did Rhashi twist the obvious meaning of the Pshat?

  • No I do not live in Israel. However, if you simply look at the creation, G-d created Adam first and later on created Chava to help him out עזר כנגדו . From here so see he must be higher in neshema than Chava. As I commented earlier, women in general are more spantanous and if torah would allow them to divorce their husband they would later on would regret it and in many situations they could not retract Halachicly what they have done. We have a great G-d and he forsaw all this.

  • @eliyahu09

in Genesis chapter 1, 27 G-d created men and women equal.

there are many are not spontanious at all. there are buisness women, head of states, doctors, high tech women and judges, on the other hand jails are full of men who did aufull crimes and have in no way better neshama than women. isn't that right?

  • There is nowhere in the Torah that it's said that they hashem created men and women equal. The Pasuk that you are reffering to says Which means male and female He created them. not created them equal. I hope this clearify all the issues for you and all Bnot Israel. Jewish men have very holly purpose in this worl אנחנו לעתיד לבא d and so Jewish women. This the statement from Chachamim.

  • you need to look in furthur and read the other chapters. It mentioned that Adam harishon was created alone and when he went to name all the animals, he saw that all of them have soulmates except him. פםוק כ tells us the he did not find עזר כנגדו. Hashem took from Adam harishon's side and filled in flesh in it's place. חוה was created to help Adam. this is like a משל that a nurse helping out a surgon in operating room. how is higher in knowlege of course surgon.
