  • Meh. Language is just communication in some form or another, (As illustrated brilliantly by 'Swegen' and Wu) no one's forcing you to watch it in spanish. Have you seen The Good The Bad and The Ugly? The voices are different, as in Deadwood, but the essence of the film is still maintained with in the translation. Granted GBU contains barely any dialogue (The openining is devoid of it for like, 10-15 minutes and Deadwood is driven by it. But I still stand by my point. Which I can't remember.

  • should be obvious that this is spanish, but ye what the fuck were they thinking..

  • There is a racehorse named Al Swearengen who races up at Golden Gate Fields race track on the San Francisco Bay (San Francisco cocksuckah!). This racehorse has raced five times this year, winning two races and finishing in second place twice. The horse is owned by a man named Al Tepper. HYSTERICAL.

  • WHY DONT YOU LEARN TO TALK AMERICAN!!!

  • Why do you all have to complain so much that not everything is in english, LIVE WITH IT!

  • @BreastsNaked well he has to say "cocksucka" etc. in Spanish. Seems a shame to dub it at all. The language is the best thing about the series. Just give 'em subtitles. I prefer watching foreign language films with the original actors voices.

  • @Blacksuitedcrimeboss I don't know about that. Granted, you have a point that language is just a particular form of communication, but Deadwood is less a show in the traditional sense, and more a visual serialization of a classically styled 19th century novel. I'd argue that Deadwood, at it's most entertaining, is an exercise in language - making the case against translation pretty strong regardless of your initial point. Course this is the real world, so it's going to be translated anyway.

  • lol why bother translating Wu? idiots....

  • This is retarded...Wu is speaking perfectly. They translated every Cantonese word into Spanish which defeats the entire point of this scene.

  • LOL @ E.B. IN SPANISH

  • Dios santo vaya mierda!! Por favor verla en versión original .. que asi pierde toda su gracia (y sentido) ! que desperdicio de verdad ..
