@beardydave Judo has become a form of "wrestling with jackets" as Mifune said himself, which I regret as well. At our dojo, we don't learn the throws and locks that are forbidden in competition. I see that as a restraint on learning all aspects of judo.

2:05 blatantly just a whip cause he knew what mifune was gunna do. 2:57 his leg starts moving as it would in okuri ashi harai but mifune isn't sweeping it??? Haha. All look amazing though.

I dunno, no disrespect to anyone, but it seems that the students were faking the sweeps. like in 1:04, just before Mifune sweeps the student, the student's opposite leg (opposite from the sweeped foot) moves.
