This little Song Sparrow was underneath my thistle feeder just digging away trying to find any little seed he could to munch on. It is cute how he scratches the ground with his feet to uncover new seed to eat.

A BIG Thank You! to Seahue who was able to identify this bird for me. I was a bit confused to which kind he was. Check out Seahue's You Tube Channel below to see some amazing nature videos.

  • Dear Chris, I have never seen this bird before. He has beautiful stripes across his body..I dont know how you spotted him as it is very difficult to distinguish him from the brown background.. A unique capture...I visited the link you mentioned and Seahue has lovely bird videos.. Thanks for that..Your videos are always worth watching and interesting..

Once again thanks for your efforts...

  • @lmmsl When I was finished filming the Mourning Dove video I saw this little guy arrive and start digging in the mulch for the Thistle seeds. I thought it would make a nice video so I filmed him digging away.

Yes! Seahue has great videos! I'm glad you found him and his fantastic channel :-)

Thanks for stopping by and your comments..

  • I think them are the same kind of Sparrow's i see around here. I THINK?? Not for sure tho!!! Anyway's that's cool i love how you tape stuff like this. Are their any Red Winged Black Bird's around where you live???

  • @nibornna Yes we have the Red Winged Black Bird here.. I seen a couple today and think the female hangs around more so. The female doesn't look like the male at all also. The male is much nicer looking as in most cases.. I spent a lot of time today filming the Baltimore Oriole and should have that uploaded next weekend. Thanks for your comment :-)

  • @MoviesMusicNature WOW you seen the Baltimore Oriole there?? it's crazy how different kind's of bird's are all over the state of Ohio isn't it ???i have NEVER seen a Baltimore Oriole in the south part of Ohio.

  • @nibornna Last year I put out a Oriole feeder but it was to late in the season and not one Oriole showed up. Last Thursday I saw two Orioles flying around my yard while I was cutting the hedges and I put out the feeder that night. I have had the Orioles feeding from the feeder since! They love it :-)

It is kind of neat how birds differ from location to location. I had not seen many Orioles around here until this year. Last year I saw one or two..

  • Nice closeup footage - well done :-)

  • I'm way down in Florida my friend. But I'll keep my eyes open. Some small birds hang out in the grass, literally down in the grass. I'll watch and see what they are. I filmed that skittish mockingbird by the way.

  • @ToppervisionEnt You may have seen one before if they are in your area but never realized it was a Song Sparrow. Even I had a tough time knowing what kind of bird this was and my friend Seahue helped me out.. Thanks for stopping by :-)

  • I've never seen one, I don't think? Beautiful little thing...
