WAR in Libya and the Impeachment of Obama

What gives Obama the right to attack Libya without Congressional approval? Just because the U.N. says it's OK does not give Obama the right to attack a sovereign nation. He has violated the constitution and should be tried as a war criminal. At least he should be impeached and removed from office in disgrace. Obama has placed all of our troops, which are involved in the Libya attacks, in harm's way. Not only because of the war but they can also be tried a war criminals. That's right, War criminals. You see as a member of a military force they have an obligation to refuse an order that is illegal. Time and time again the defense of "I was just following orders." does not stand up in a war crime's court. The Germans tried that defense after WWII and it failed. We have a President that is totally out of control. He has taken away our sovereignty and turned it over to the UN. Now, you have, unelected people that do not represent us controlling our military and our foreign policy. We now have a dictatorship. Call for the impeachment of Obama NOW.

On Thursday evening, the U.N. Security Council voted 10--0 (with five abstentions, including China, Russia, and Germany) to authorize the use of military force (i.e., "all necessary measures") against Libya. Ostensibly, the resolution is designed to protect the Libyan people. But not to mince words, it is a license for war against the regime of Moammar Qaddafi. It would kick hostilities off with a no-fly zone over Libya. As a practical matter, American armed forces must do the heavy lifting if the strategy is to have a prayer, and indications are that President Obama intends to oblige.
There is a catch: The Security Council is powerless to "authorize" the U.S. military to do a damned thing. The validity of American combat operations is a matter of American law, and that means Congress must authorize them.
Our Constitution vests Congress with the power to declare war. That authority cannot be delegated to an international tribunal that lacks political accountability to the American people. The decision to go to war is the most significant one a body politic can make. Thus the Framers designed our system to make certain that the responsible officials are answerable to the people whose lives are at stake and who are expected to foot the bills.

@mrekbass Sorry mrebass but I did not have a youtube channel at that time. If I had he would have gotten the same as Obama. You see the law of the land is the Constitution and no one is above the law of the land not even Bush. But Bush did go to congress and even got funding from them. Obama went to the UN for his war. I don't feel that even congress is above the Constitution. If they are the republic is lost and we are nothing more than slaves.
