Starbase 16 is destroyed and Captain Garrovick's old ship, the U.S.S. Kongo, is missing. On a hunt for the perpetrators, the Exeter encounters a strange ghost out of Garrovick's past -- the Tressaurians: a savage race responsible for stranding Garrovick on planet Tangaro as a young cadet. Now, the Tressuarians are tampering with a deadly new technology. Can the crew of the exeter uncover it's secrets in time, or will this discovery lead to an even greater threat?

  • Really liking the way this episode depicts the vintage look and feel of TOS. Great directing, editing, and camera work. And the EFX don't look overdone with perfected CGI like P2 Perfect.

Sure the captains acting is subpar, but much better than the captain on P2. In fact the entire casts acting is better than whats on P2. The little quips and jokes are also effective.

Nice seeing the Tholians and the Gorn-like design of the tressaurians.

    Keep up the good work.

  • wait a second the exeter takes the pounding from 3 tressaurian ships then all of a sudden the tholians come and one shot a tressaurian warship??? Cool battle and I like the fact that TOS consoles don't blow in your face. LOL

  • ...Love the traditional "Pause-Disenegration' sequence. That's 'old school buh-bye!'...

  • The production values on this is simpy breath taking for a fan film.......

  • I think the entire cast acts superbly. Regardless of the show's "fan-made" status, this is a fun and engaging episode. I'd go so far to say that it is better than some of the stuff the TOS produced (*cough* Spock's Brain).

  • Too much negativity amongst the comments here.

I think the acting is actually pretty good. For amateurs and enthusiasts, this group are REALLY good, and the captain does a fine job. Moreover, the way this is scripted and shot brings out the best in the actors and papers over their flaws. It's fantastic!

Also, New Voyages/Phase 2 do a very good job and make enjoyable and truky Trekkie stuff, and James Cawley does a fun Shatner impression.

  • Did this Captin go to Star Fleet Special Ed?

  • i agree with newbeam1.

what ive seen so far myself and all those have commented here is pure genius.

perfected CGI, FX and a vintage feeling that lives up to the nickname TOS

  • i wonder why fed ships never fire torpedoes often.

  • Great sets wow!

Acting is cheesy. Not classic trek cheesy, but blech cheesy.

    Are the skirts shorter?

  • My goodness the battle beginning at 1:25 is good! Perfectly paced editing and camera angles! It stands up magnificently with all of the big studio Star Trek battle sequences so far! Except Star Trek 2009. That movie sucked!

  • Comparing the CG styles is apples and oranges. Exeter obviously goes for the feel of the original broadcasts, while P2 goes for the remastered feel. You can't compare the two.
