@huskerhotelfoxtrot He won it from Flair but right before that PPV, WCW lost the rights to use the NWA Championship belt, so they created their own belt and called it the WCW International World Heavyweight Champion. So WCW had two world champions at the time. Rude was actually a 3 time world champ, dropped the belt to Hiroshi Hase in Japan, wont it back a week later, then lost it to Sting to win it back from him again. Those matches between Sting and Rude over that belt are true classics.

3:45 I was a pretty huge wrestling fan from 1986-1999 and don't recall Rude winning that belt...I know he was IC and US champ but not WCW champ

Shame he died so young. Pretty sure it was steroid related. Later investigations would show that The WWF looked the other way about those steroids the wrestlers used. Thanks for uploading that! Great memories. RIP RUDE.
