My Light - Part 2

The light in my eyes is fading fast,
Lost every trace of grace.
I can't be absolved from my past,
Yet you still want to see my face.

My legs are rapidly starting to fail,
No pride left in my stride.
I cannot see anything past this veil,
But you are always by my side.

My tired arms are visibly giving out,
Feel bound to the ground.
I've gone lost in a world of doubt,
Yet you still make me feel found.

My heart is starting to feel so weak,
In vain, I ignore the pain.
I have always seen things so bleak,
But you still won't let it wane.

But now I begin to understand.
What my eyes will not see,
My heart will always perceive.
I've held onto your hand -
For the future is far beyond sight,
But you always make it right.

Everything alive eventually dies.
Before long, I'm not as strong,
But I will always have your song.
I've found peace in your eyes -
The world is not black and white,
After you've cast your light.

A light so bright, resonating through the night,
The brightest star, that's what you are,
My very own light.
