Michael Jackson responded directly to the publication, stating: The idea that these lyrics could be deemed objectionable is extremely hurtful to me, and misleading. The song in fact is about the pain of prejudice and hate and is a way to draw attention to social and political problems. I am the voice of the accused and the attacked. I am the voice of everyone. I am the skinhead, I am the Jew, I am the black man, I am the white man. I am not the one who was attacking. It is about the injustices to young people and how the system can wrongfully accuse them. I am angry and outraged that I could be so misinterpreted.

  • YES!!! It is soooo hard to find this song uncensored! I was completely pissed when I heard they had done this to him! I had bought the original album when it was released...they wanted you to bring back your "offensive" copy for the edited one! How could they not understand what he was trying to say??!! This song takes you to the heart of what M.J. was trying to tell us all his life! Thank you for posting!!

  • MJ's not anti-semetic... He was buddies with Steven Speilburg! :D

  • this right here

    this is the REAL stuff

  • My favorite Micheal Jackson song. RIP

  • @wmxx314 This is the original video.

  • I am not the biggest MJ fan, but I was LOOKING for something that could be interpreted as anti-Semitic and I saw absolutely nothing whatsoever that could be made anti-Semitic by any stretch of the imagination.

  • He was never misinterpreted, the media and haters just found an excuse to piss him off like always. Us fans all knew and know what he meant.

  • That people would completely ignore the chorus to this song, a chorus that clearly explains that he is supporting these oppressed people, is nearly beyond comprehension. Unfortunately, this sort of thing isn't that out of the ordinary.

  • The first video was shot in Salvador and Rio de Janeiro. This is the second video with the original lyrics. Both directed by Spike Leeeeeee.

  • i dont get his second most iconic dance move when he grabs his croch ?
