@Theakker3B I think you are right. From what I can make out, the barrel jacket looks like a 34. The reason the ROF is slow is because where they are using blanks on the movie set, they need to add in a sound effect to make it sound more realistic. Blanks for the 34/42 are not as loud as some others, so they had to compensate.

@andrew881thebest It is very sad, but they needed to liberate Europe one way or another. This was a very murderous assault for definite. You had little chance of survival, it just depended on luck to be honest. Whether the gunner decides to target you out or not, whether that stray shell lands on you or not. It's all chance. Anyone who survived this and everything that followed it is extremely lucky. God bless them all.

I think that to run towards an mg42 ready to fire is like 0 possibility chance to survive. Mass execution. Poor boys, most of them were just common boys 20s y o who just wanted to live and they ended their life in this way. War is really bad, evil, it's good only to watch it in moovies, but, believe me, to LIVE war, to be shot or burned or dismembered is not that cool. Just sad painful as hell. I would like Fat Usa Republicans pro war could try themselves what to be shot means...maybe.
