@TotalBizcut If you don't know what the f means you don't need such a lens
-
The price doesn't drop much because this is the best performing zoom-telephoto lens made by Canon. You should look at the lack of a price drop as a positive since this means the lens retains much of its value.

@cubeproduktion that is my plan for my lenses. i plan on getting the 24-70 since i have this 70-200mm now.
-
@nelson714 you should get the Canon EF 24-70mm L USM Lens, that lens does fit in the gap between the 70-200 and the 16-35, its a great lens, I have it and its incredible.

@scaredweepel you watched it...

The F/4 IS version is indeed better quality and of course has IS, compared to the F/2.8 non-IS, but I did end up choosing the F/2.8 version for more light gathering ability, that and I never use IS as I dont shoot where its required.
-
f/4 with IS is much better than f/2.8 with IS or without
-
This lens is cheaper than the new f/2.8IS II. This, however, is Canon's sharpest zoom lens (I'm not sure if the f/2.8LIS II is the new sharpness god though)!

thanks for posting, i'm saving up for this nice lens. Too bad it doesn't really drop in price over time ;)
-
@flrbskate no the f/4 has better image quality and build than the 70-300 the f/2.8 is sharper and more vibrant
-
well that was like 6 months ago and you have to learn some how
