@maureenderry Eugene gave me this CD when I first met him in 1995- we were on a Folklore/Folk Music tour with Eugene and Mick Moloney. I think I've almost worn the CD out! My grandchildren have all had naps and bedtime with these melodies. What an incredible talent fiddle, irish dance and soccer as a youngster. He's a truly delightful man.

Peaceful and pensive, very expressive playing.

His tone is gorgeous. I used to hear him play in Washington, DC, and I wish I had a recording of every piece I ever heard him play. His style is so rich and feeling, tin my mind unsurpassed. Slán, Eugene.

I agree....no one can play slow airs like him. In fact no one can play the Irish dance tunes quite like him either. The last time I heard him play was a few years ago in Derry. I sang The Last Rose of Summer and he played an exquisite harmony....I was in heaven.
