Hello everyone. This is a quick video update for my garden. Not much to talk about other than massive growth and lots of tomatoes popping out everywhere. I keep getting spinach, lettuce and broccoli because it has been so cool here. Today was our first day in the 80's and it looks like it's going to continue for a while which is good news for the garden. My next video should be a lot more interesting because I will have more to talk about. I couldn't do any upside down garden this year because the fence belongs to my neighbor and he wasn't too keen on me do it.... so I have decided to do something that I haven't done before but I have always wanted to. In addition to planting a bunch more things in wine barrel containers, I'm putting together a hydroponic garden. I have been cloning plants for a long time but I thought it would be interesting to start growing them hydroponically and compare the growth using traditional methods. It should be interesting. I will try to do a video of the entire building process so stay tuned. In the meantime, happy gardening.

  • Looks Great! I like to garden with a glass of wine too ;) My favorite, Pinot Noir.

  • @harrisonfivehere Thanks! Oh, don't get me wrong, I like all kinds of wine including Pinot Noir but I was kind of celebrating having an 80 degree day with a cold Chardonnay. It was great. Actually, I'm more of a Cab drinker or some kind of Meritage or Bordeaux blend. One thing is for sure, I like drinking wine when I'm gardening... It makes the entire process quite relaxing. Kelly

  • Napa, hm? Wow, we are neighbors!

  • @RichMenAreEvil Really, where are you located?

  • As always everything looks great kelly, the tomatoes look awesome, so I got a question for you, since your in Napa are you going to attempt to grow your grapes again? that would be nice to follow along too. I got a red flame grape plant going that I put into my garden about a few weeks ago, and its taking off really nice, I'm still in the framing stage but you inspired me with yours earlier, so I thought I 'd try one too. suck about the beetles though, well cant wait till your next update

  • @wmkk808 Yeah, I have been thinking of putting in grapes again but there is so much around me, I could have virtually any kind that I want without doing anything. The only reason to grow them is for the enjoyment of the process. I still might do it. I have though about putting a trellis above the patio and growing them up the sides and on top. We'll see... I have to get clearance from my wife in order to do something that involved. I'll keep you posted though...

  • Your neighbor is a jerk! Really wish you had done the hanging garden again! :)

  • how are your cherries tied up? are they just sandwiched between two pieces of string that run across the poles? the plants are doing amazing and i've never seen them "staked" like that before. good vid.
