No offense, but the album version sucks!
Wally was probably influenced by Depeche Mode's "Can you feel a little love" when he recorded it and that's a real shame.

@j0phus I think "the kids" of whatever generation will always fall for the soulless mass-produced bubblegum at first, thanks to peer pressure and the power of mass media (don't forget that "Big Music" has a fairly in-your-face presence on the net these days too)... but all we can hope is that as they grow up and start to think for themselves, they are inevitably drawn to what was missing in the pop crap of their youth... REAL music, with SOUL... true artistic expression à la Gotye!

@jrhennen This guy single-handidly just restored my faith in the youth. That video is so viral now because the kids WANT real music. I feel so fucking bad for the current bubble gum generation, and happy as hell for them that they're finding their way back to the rest of us thanks to the internet.

I heard 'Somebody That I Used To Know' about a week ago on Facebook...turned out to be a cover of that song, because I heard the real one on the radio.... Then I went on Youtube and fell in love! I am officially blown away! I am 54 years old, and his music takes me back to the days of Sting, Peter Gabriel, Go..... so innovative and fresh and different... I have to go...There are more unheard songs to play.... =D
