In this video I continue to discuss my belt system and kit concentrating on the Thermite Versipack and its kit.
The Maxpedition gear I purchased from baumshoe.com

Bepreparedtosurvive.com: signaling mirror, aluminum storage capsule, aqua pouch

REI: field guides

Canteenshop.com: sidewinder flashlight, strike force, water purification tablets

Extremepenrods.com: telescoping fishing pole and mini reel

  • why carry 3 fire starters??? in my view thats 2 more than you need

  • @ajkrugby I'd rather have it and not need it then need it and not have it. I've have lost things in the past, things break, etc. Just my personal preference is all. Hopefully you never go into the woods and lose your one firestarting method, could be bad....Thanks for watching and commenting

  • Other ideas: 1.think you should include e emergency blanket; 2.Think you be better leaving the arrow and have more ammo for your gun, plus add a micro maintenance kit for it. If you do not have a way to store water, water purification tables are usuless (believe me on this one) I would go with a small filter or find a small foldable water container..there are several brands out there and they are not expensive.. Nice vids mate!

  • @travelerofthehorizon Lol, I do carry more ammo in my cargo pants pocket. Can never have to much. I used the aqua pouch for the water storage, its a semi rugged bag and the grommet holes make it easy to carry. I also have a small folded up bread pan and a aquamir water filer (the straw) in the kit...at least when I shot this video and was carrying this kit. I have since stopped using this set up. Thanks again for all the comments/suggestions

  • Great vid! Great ideas! If you allow me some tips: You can easily improvise the Frog spear when in the field..Think you should leave it...very bulky peace of equipment. You can add some small LED lights..they are minusculus, weight nothing and last longer...Again: great vidS! keep then coming!

  • @travelerofthehorizon Thanks for the advise. I do carry a Fenix PD30, I suppose I should have done a video on my EDC as well. All great suggestions. Thanks

  • does the thermite hang low enough to allow for the padded belt of a large backpack? Thanks for the vid brother!

  • Some great ideas thanks hope you dont mind if i steel them thanks

  • i can't believe you managed to stuff all of those things inside that thing... impressed

  • I am interested with the fishing rod but te more I think about it the more I think how easy it is to make a pole in the bush so I don't feel the need to carry one. I have caught thousands of fish growing up with a cane pole and 10 ft of line

  • Wow ... I wan to buy one Thermite Versipack to carry some items for my police job ( hopefully)...now I see it has a large cargo capacity which is great....Would you be so kind to tell me where can a buy the mini fishing cane? it is awesome and very practical...Thanks a lot

  • Im curious to know all your uses for the bread pan? If you have tried the pin fishing kit, and how it stands up to a hobo/pvc style fishing kit? Im guessing this has been suggested but you could get some use from copper trapping wire in that kit, or what ever kit your running now. O also check out fishing yo yo's if you haven't, their light compact and keep working when your not.
