SCARY THIEVES - DOCUMENTARY, 1984

The documentary made by PMI (EMI Records) of Synth-Pop band Scary Thieves, just prior to the release of their first singles, and before they toured with Nick Kershaw in 1984.

The line up of the band is;

Phil Manikiza - Vocals
Chris Youdell - Keyboards
Ralph St. Rose - Guitar
Clive Parker (CP) - Drums

The song is 'Thieves of Virtue' which wasn't released as a single, but was intended as an album track, which EMI didn't release, but can be found on the internet. PMI filmed this during band rehearsals and at Clive's flat above Warren Street tube station, along with other locations in London. The sound of the track is lifted directly off the monitor mixing desk in rehearsals at John Henry's complex (off Caledonian Road, North London), hence the odd mix.
