Thank you for your clips! I find them helpful for improving my Japanese. I noticed one thing about this video though. I'm studying Chinese at the moment but also looking up some Japanese, just for fun. Are you sure that what you said as "cheers" in Chinese actually is Chinese? Since there are many dialects, that expression may be in some of the ones I have not studied. I know that in Mandarin it is said as gānbēi and usually jam2 sing3 in Cantonese. Are you sure that it wasn't Korean? :)

it sounds like you guys are saying kaMpai not kaNpai... at least to me :) i know that's not possible though. anyway, i learned a few things about the drinking culture so thanks! :) one day I'll make it over there once I've learned enough Japanese (i can read/write hira/kata but my vocab and grammar are no better than a first grader's)
