Hidalgo meets Secretariat

Rex Peterson has trained horses for some of your favorite films (Black Beauty, Black Stallion, Hidalgo, The Horse Whisperer, Flicka, Dreamer, Secretariat, among many others) for over 3 decades, teaching them to perform the impossible. He has buried a horse alive for a music video, trained a horse to climb on top of cars and jump off a ferry boat, he has run a herd of 380 horses and gathered them up in less than an hour, among many other scenes that most people say is impossible. @416tayjay I understand you're young but... the horses in this video are the actors for the movie roles. Secretariat has been dead for over twenty years, Hidalgo isn't even verified to be real as Frank Hopkins was known for tall tales.

On another note, you can't typically tell the difference between stallions and geldings at a glance. I would heartily suggest you spend a few more years with horses before trying to correct people on them.

@natadevil there were a lot of horses used in that film - I have to dvd and on the special features they told about how one of the "stunt doubles" had to be painted in paint to match the regular horse they were using.

and loook, no carrot stick or dually halter or anything and the horse and him have a wonderful connection. Im not saying parelli and roberts are wrong- they know far more than i do, but they do like you to spend money for them.

unless they painted RJ with more brown spots and the whole side of his face brown then that isnt the horse that played in hidalgo. but either way he is gorgeous and so is Harbour Mist <3 they can do a lot of amazing stuff :)
