The Olympic Stadium of Berlin where the Olympics 1936 took place and Hitler had to see Lauf Owens win severall competitions.

I assumed that the stadium was destroyed during WWII. Apparently not, even the torch still remains.

No remains the same.

It was largely rebuilt with a new roof for the 2006 World Cup. The Stadium is protected, though, and the basic architecture (classical lines, stonework, and Marathon gate) were not altered in the renovation.

@tomprice494 The Fuhrer`s, Olympic Stadium survived the war and destruction more or less intact. It has since been modernised but the building and structure are much the same as in 1936.

I went to HSC Hertha Berlin vs Bayern Munich in this stadium post rebuild, night game. Best stadium i have ever been in bar none.

They cut off the two towers within which was the symbol of the 5 Olympic circles, and bearing the inscribed runic characters and the swastika, in addition to mount the cover, I think at the World Cup in 2006. These are the main changes, I think ..
