Steamboat Stomp was composed by Boyd Senter 1926. Jelly Roll Morton has recorded the tune with his own Red Hot Peppers same year. Schachmeister recorded arrangement follows the original lead-sheet or stock-arrangement. It shows the genius of Jelly Roll Morton by creating a Jazz Classic out of a wek tune.

Another brilliant example of Schachmeister's great skill, thank you!

A very interesting version of Jelly Roll Morton's Steamboat Stomp. Thanks. It is always nice to hear any recording made in the 1920's of Jelly Roll Morton tunes.
