Excellent points. However, IMO you do not need good fields to get better or produce top players. In Brazil they don't have good fields, they don't even have grass in most of them. They also certainly don't have $4k to pay. Kids should not have to pay that to learn soccer. $400 is already too much already. We have to involve as many kids as possible in playing the game and have fun, not withdrawing teams because they are not of the "right level". That is wring. It is not just about winning.
